My Car Trips and More

I love going on car trips and seeing everything there is to see. I truly enjoy driving on the back roads of Texas and America and visiting the small towns. It is so much fun to eat in the country diners and shop in the family owned shops for souvenirs. I want to start this blog to share what I learn about the towns, national parks and tourist attractions that I visit.
A few years ago I spent a couple of weeks visiting several national parks, attractions and monuments in the southwest and was amazed at their beauty. I could not believe how many other visitors were from Europe and how few were from the U.S.
Since then, I have returned to Yosemite, Bryce and Moab and been on countless drives throughout Texas and Colorado only to appreciate their beauty even more.
I hope my Blog inspires everyone to go out and explore and share their stories about their adventures.

  1. Hello and wonderful news that there is to be a book about Foley's. I cannot wait to get it. Is it to be published by The History Press? I am currently working on a book about Michigan's Jacobson's stores, which were in my opinion, the "Neiman's of the North."

On my Blog, The Department Store Museum, I have received many, many nostalgic comments about Foley's - it seems to be a very sorely-missed institution, and one which was really appreciated by Texans when it was in its prime. All of this bodes very well for good sales and a tremendous reception for the book.

    Kind regards:
